Another great site that provides daily emails: http://www.TheDailyGreen.com.  This site provides the latest news, living tips, advice – even recipes.  The site and daily e-newsletter are aimed at today’s busy consumer who cares for the environment, but does not want to change everything in their life – so pretty much all of us, in a nutshell. 

The daily e-newsletters covers a little of everything.  Today’s News section is a great way to stay on top of green news headlines.  My favorite part is “one easy thing” – a daily tip that helps you help Mother Earth just a little bit more – because every effort helps.  The tips cover everything from energy and transportation, to home and garden and food. 

For those of you a little behind on this whole movement (in other words – for those of you who have resided in a cave for the past year), there is a “get started” guide which offers 10 Idiot-Proof Eco-Tips, How to Recycle Electronics and an impact calculator.  From there you can explore the 5 Perfectly Painless Water Savers and the Toxic Free Cleaning Guide.

After you’ve got that stuff down, you can move on to the delicious recipes which feature fresh, local and organic ingredients.  This section also features a safe food watch, earth-friendly options for your table (Eco-Friendly wines under $25- who knew?) and an organic buying guide.  For more local information, you can punch in your zip code and get local info on food and recycling.

Lately I’ve enjoyed the “weird weather watch” – a photoblog of climate change.  An oil-soaked bird – victim of the recent San Francisco oil spill – tugged at my heart strings; while pictures of Lake Mead in serious drought just shocked me.
